Iran fights: US to reduce Iranian web checks

The US claims it will relax web restrictions on Iran in response to Tehran's crackdown on conflicts that were sparked by a woman dying in police custody.

According to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, "We will help to ensure that the Iranian populace are not held in confinement and in obscurity."

Programming restrictions will be lifted, allowing American IT companies to expand their operations in Iran.

The worst unrest Iran has seen in a long time has claimed the lives of almost 35 people.

Mahsa Amini, 22, developed severe lethargy last week, just hours after being apprehended by high-quality police for allegedly disobeying the rules regarding wearing a headscarf.

Ms. Amini's head was allegedly struck by officials with a tool and smashed into one of their cars. No evidence of abuse, according to the authorities, and she suffered a "unexpected cardiovascular breakdown."

Fighting against the government raged for eight straight hours on Friday, and in Tehran and other cities, system revitalizations also took place.

Recordings from Oshnavieh revealed massive crowds of people wandering through city streets without any police officers around and audible explosions.

Friday also saw pro-system demonstrations in Tehran and other cities, with people in attendance expressing support for the prominent leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who has been a target

Soon after returning from the United Nations General Assembly in New York, he said, "We won't allow people's security to be compromised for any reason."

Mr. Raisi emphasised that Iran's "adversaries" needed to exploit the anguish, adding that the public authority will consider the examination of Ms. Amini's death but wouldn't be impacted by "revolt".
